History & Tour of the David Hayes Sculpture Fields in Coventry
Join Ann Bonney at the Tolland Public Library to learn about Manchester native and world class sculptor, David Hayes whose works are on display in art museums across the country, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. With an Indiana University MFA and post-graduate Fulbright Scholarship and Guggenheim Fellowship, Hayes lived and studied in Paris, connecting with the famous sculptor, Alexander Calder. Returning to the states in the 1970s, David and family moved into an old farmhouse in Coventry, where Hayes began to create his Sculpture Fields.
